How To Remove Stickers & Sticky Residue

Have your children ever put stickers on their door, wall or somewhere they shouldn't? Did you spend hours trying to scrub, peel and pick it off only to give up as it was just too stubborn?

Well this time Maxx wasn't the culprit, in fact we have no idea who was. When we moved into the house the window in our living room had a lot of sticky residue on the frame. I tried to remove it with soapy water and a cloth however all that did was make everything stickier, I gave up after an hour  of trying.

Over the last week we have been re-decorating the living room so I thought it was about time I tried to remove the residue again.

I am happy to say that I found a quick & easy solution to removing these troublesome stickers and any sticky residue. The solution is something you probably have sitting in your cupboard or shed, WD-40.

The trick is to spray the WD-40 over the label/sticky area allow it to work in for a minute then use a scraper to scrape off the sticker and any residue. It works a treat and is really quick and easy, just be careful not to mark any of the surfaces with the scraper. If you don't have a scraper leave the WD-40 to work for a little longer and wipe with a cloth. After you have got ride of any sticky residue clean the area with warm soapy water and voilà!
