When Maxx received a Hexbug Nano in the post he was so excited. This isn't the first Hexbug he has had he's had one before, however his other one has been lost so this was a very welcome replacement.
So what is a Hexbug? A Hexbug is a robotic creature that acts like a real bug! They are very amusing to watch. They have 12 legs and scuttle along the floor like a bug, if they bump into things they change direction and if they fall on their back they are able to get back on their feet again!
You can buy habitats for the Hexbugs so they can race around specially built arenas. I love this idea and Maxx is hoping Santa will get him an arena for Christmas as his Hexbug keeps running under the fridge.
The Hexbug is complete with batteries, they last around 4-5 hours if they are on all the time. Maxx managed to wear his Hexbug out in 2 days! Thankfully the batteries are not expensive to buy and are easy to change.
There are 5 different colours to collect as pictured above. You can also register your Nano online to keep track of how many nanos you have in your collection, very clever!
Hexbug Nano's are suitable for children aged 3+ They are priced at £8.99 each so will make a great stocking filler! I can see Santa being very busy delivering lots of Nano bugs to excited children this Christmas.
You can find out more about Hexbugs and view the full range available on the Hexbug Website. Be sure to like the Hexbug Facebook page and follow them on Twitter to stay up to date with the latest news.
These are the kind of toys I hid at the bottom of my toy box when I was little, because I was so sure that they would come out when I was sleeping!! (thank god I wasn't a child when Toy Story came out)
ReplyDeleteHa ha I have to agree about Toy Story! Maxx seems to love it and wishes they were alive lol.
DeleteBoth my sons have these and they love them, so does the cat and dog they chase them all around the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteOur cat loves them too he chases them round the kitchen. They have been known to go under the fridge but it's easy to move thankfully! They are lots of fun.
DeleteThe Hexbug I won in your Christmas competition was very popular, especially with the cat!
