Colgate Proclinical A1500 Toothbrush Review

I recently got the opportunity to review the Colgate Proclinical A1500 Electric Toothbrush and couldn't wait to try it. For the pass 4 weeks I have been using it and have noticed a huge difference in my teeth and gums.

Firstly let me tell you a little bit about the Proclinical A1500 and the features it offers.

The Colgate Proclinical A1500 is the first electric toothbrush in the UK that automatically adjusts. The A1500 uses 'Sonic Wave Cleaning Action' which provides a superior clean compared to a manual flat-trim toothbrush.

The toothbrush uses unique smart sensors which means the brush automatically adjusts to different speeds and cleaning actions based on the position it is held in when cleaning your teeth. I love this as it means you don't have to stop brushing and change buttons. It also detects when you are holding it at a 45 degree angle and adjusts for cleaning the gums, amazing!

The Colgate Proclinical range has been developed in partnership with Omron Healthcare, worldwide leaders in the manufacture of medical and home healthcare products with innovative sensing and control technology. Omron's devices have been helping people to prevent, treat and manage lifestyle diseases both at home and in clinical practices for many decades.

The toothbrush also comes with a handy travel case where you can store your toothbrush and brush head. This is handy as toothpaste on clothes is never a good look.

There are two types of replacement heads available, triple clean - which cleans in three ways and sensitive - for gentle and deep cleaning.

The A1500 also has an inbuilt timer that turns the toothbrush off after 2 minutes of brushing. It also has a 30 second pacer, the pacer means the toothbrush stops for a second to indicate 30 seconds of brushing has passed and the user should then move on to another part of their mouth. It does this every 30 seconds.

The Proclinical A1500 reduces 5x more plaque on the gum line compared to a manual flat-trim toothbrush after 12 weeks. As well as removing plaque it polishes the teeth removing stains.

The toothbrush has an LED screen which lets you see which mode the toothbrush is in. It is clear and bright so you can easily identify which setting it is on.

The toothbrush is charged via a two prong charger unfortunately it does not come with a plug adaptor so if you don't have a 2 pin socket you will have to purchase an adaptor. This is the only downside I have found to the product.

 My thoughts:-
If you have read any teeth related posts on my blog you will know how important keeping teeth clean and healthy is to me. I have always been good where teeth cleaning is concerned and clean them twice a day for 2 minutes each time and regularly floss too.
I do worry about my teeth though. I have two fillings from when I was younger and have a fear of my teeth falling out.

I have really enjoyed using the Proclinical A1500 it definitely gives a superior clean compared with my old electrical toothbrush. My teeth and gums feel clean and fresh each time I brush, you can really feel that your teeth and gums are being given a deep clean.

I would highly recommend the Colgate Proclinical A1500 Toothbrush. It has given me peace of mind that my teeth are being thoroughly cleaned and that I am doing everything possible to keep my gums and teeth in the best health.

The toothbrush has an RRP of £169.99 and can be purchased online from the Colgate Website and from most Boots stores.
