Like most young children Maxx enjoys dressing up and has a few dressing up costumes which he loves wearing. I was recently looking for a new costume for him when I came across Pretend To Bee which is a family run business offering an exciting range of children's dressing up clothes.
I was over the moon when the lovely people at Pretend To Bee said they would send Maxx a costume to review, I'm not sure who was more excited. I had already had a good look on the website and had found a lot of costumes I really wanted to get for Maxx. There were so many lovely costumes on the website I couldn't decided so I let Maxx choose which costume he wanted.
When I showed him the costumes his eyes lit up and he got really excited. We scrolled through a couple of pages opening the ones that Maxx pointed out (there were a lot!). As we were nearing the end of the pages Maxx saw a costume and got very excited, he had spotted the Dinosaur Costume. Maxx has been showing an interest in dinosaurs recently so I knew this would be perfect for him.
The costume arrived really quickly after the order was placed which was great as Maxx was really excited to get it. When the package arrived I knew exactly what it was so let Maxx open it. I took a few photos but he was moving around so much with excitement they turned out blurry.
Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
The first thing Maxx did after opening the costume was to put it on as quickly as possible, it took him about 5 seconds!
I was really impressed with the costume it is very well made and looks amazing. It is made from polyester satin velour fabric which has been made to look like scales. The costume is very cleverly designed with Dinosaur hands and feet that cover the child's hands and feet making them look and feel like a real dinosaur (according to Maxx). There is also a very cute tail at the back which Maxx thinks is very funny, he kept running away and asking me to catch his tail. The dinosaurs head is very cool with scary eyes, teeth and spikes. I thought the head might annoy Maxx if the hood kept falling down but no matter how much he bounced around it stayed in place which is great. The zip is located at the front of the costume and stops just below the chin.
I really like the fact that the costume has enought space for Maxx to wear his clothes underneath which means he can dress up and play outside even when it is a bit chilly. We chose the age 3-5 costume which fits Maxx 4 really well and he still has room to grow in it. It is also available in age 5-7 which we may have to buy when Maxx outgrows his.
The Dinosaur costume is well worth the £19.95 price tag as it is very well made and has already provided Maxx with hours of fun since it arrived.
